Yeah, rockets to Mars and splash-less urinals - the problems of one century

I think China got it right with TikTok. Educational content only! Done!

Let's also replace politicians and other officials.

AI - might finally "care for miners and not the minors on the island somewhere".

Therefore, AI will not be blackmailed into doing shit.

If people would unironically start pushing for this, I genuinely do not know what to do.

I guess that would be at least a nice bang to let democracy finally die. Let's hope that we never see that happening.

___

To expand on that:

I believe that these thoughts are so incredibly harmful to humanity itself, (and, more importantly, I believe that the people in power believe that too,) that we'd be seeing pushback against this.

Maximum pushback, because what the pushback would be defending would be - as said - humanity itself.

Said pushback would be bypassing democracy, because there is no way of arguing with these crazy thoughts. Which would said a precedent, because why stop there.

Which, again, makes me believe that this is some sort of psyop, because I refuse to think that the people on here would really be as blind to the systemic implications of their brainfarts.

___

FWIW, a ruling class worth their net worth would go for the less draconian thing of simply taking away your internet access and forcing you to touch grass.

One that is.. uh.. less signed up on the whole "all people are equal and worth saving" would line up.. idk.. 100 people with these horribly bad-for-humanity ideas and shoot them in the head live on stream or something.

The interesting twist here is that LLM rulers might be more biased towards doing option B, as the statistical probabilities of words cannot _feel_ the chemical hormone cocktail invoked by the mental image of that.

Be careful what you wish for.

Well, as soon as they start being replaced is there a network to bring.

Honestly, this is hilarious!

Please replace CTOs while you are at it and most architects can also be replaced easily!

It can be configured to replace any mangagment role. The goal is to do for management what co-pilot, cursor and Claude did for development.

Your taxes are building police state for you.

What's the recourse here?

The trade offs are real, but a suppressed desire to have kids can lead to dissatisfaction and with time that will be hard to ignore or fix.

Also, let's just not ignore that Musk is wildly successful in having shown you an example that you don't have to choose one thing

He sure as heck failed at the family thing.

True, but try being a dad to 14 kids in today's world.

With the billions he has, not a problem if he actually tried.

When he dies, I while track the titles of news articles about the inheritance fight with mild amusement. I won't read the articles however...

He's having kids only to satisfy his eugenist, white supremacist kink. He doesn't care about them and even hate them if they stray out of his worldview - just ask Vivian.

Nothing wrong with wishing your own kind to continue.

That's why he is using one of his own kids as a human shield.

Um, he is a massive failure at the family part

The content is preserved obviously, and I hope that sometime in the future it will be made available in its original form.

What worries me about the trends is inevitable sanitization of content or straight out falsification.

>What worries me about the trends is inevitable sanitization of content or straight out falsification.

That sounds really speculative, and not inevitable at all.

I think you're just trying to invent things to be worried about because you don't like AI and don't trust AI companies.

Well, 'history is written by the victors' is not just a toss.

... because now it can be done at scale.

Hm, two questions:

- Who is paying for surveillance? - To whose benefit is it used?

Police departments until the constitutional aspects are settled, then they'll be cut down en masse.

If the constitutional aspects are settled in favor of people, but current SCOTUS suggests this be unlikely. But.. even it were, then police departments would just buy the data second hand instead via direct contracts.

> but current SCOTUS suggests this be unlikely

Are you referring to "temporary inconvenience" or some other decision I'm not aware of?

The phrase "temporary inconvenience" refers to a statement by Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh in his September 2025 concurrence in [Noem v. Vasquez Perdomo]. Defending an order allowing immigration enforcement stops based partly on apparent ethnicity or workplace, Kavanaugh wrote that questioning of legal residents or U.S. citizens would be "typically brief" and a minor inconvenience.

I'm referring to the pattern of SCOTUS making up whatever justification they want to achieve the result they want. That and the pattern of being pro-corporation.

Flock has already made their billions. They'll pivot to something else, probably budget gunshot tracking cameras that also accidentally eavesdrops on all conversations near by and sends it to the cloud for analysis.

well, tax payers. Cops wanted millions extra to hire more cops, and they blow it on start ups instead.

You're not wrong. But they' also got the extra officers, too.

ha, i immediately think alert from a three letter company's on-call app. Now that's unsettling and straight fucking offensive!
