On a daily basis I find myself telling Claude to stop over complicating things and to follow my instructions, not what it wants to do.

It’s simply exhausting.

Or they would start accepting money for remotely installing apps, just like the bloatware most phones and computers come with.

Since they're not liable for damages, they simply don't care enough to check the ads.

Arbitrary code execution in Notepad. That’s just insane, regardless of how they added as a “feature”.

Not enough evidence to support the claims.

It sounds like: yesterday was sunny, it rained a little tomorrow, the next week we’re going to be living in Atlantis.

The same company that puts ads to their weather app on their desktop OS you mean?

Or managed to turn the good old notepad into a CVE 8 vulnerability?

Kidding aside, some bean counter somewhere thought that’s $5M revenue lost, instead of helping the community they’re supposedly a part of.

My neighbor thinks that they can increase their 100Mbps ISP speed by having 5 or 6 access points at 2.4GHz in their 1400sq ft (~140m2) apartment.

There’s so much interference that the package dropout rate is around 40% at 2.4GHz usually.

Having a AP in every room can be as significant boost if the walls impede the signal a lot. In fact we have one wall which is especially bad. Stand in front of it or next to it and reception from the front of the house is decent. Take one step back behind the wall and signal drops to less than 10%.

So having the 5-6 AP is not the problem, then shouting at max power is the problem. Especially “gaming” routers tend to do this.

2.4ghz is pretty bad but the 5 and 6ghz bands don’t really travel far. I’m in a dense area and 5ghz works great while 6 has basically no detectable traffic.

Then we calculate the Bytes to see how fast we can download a file.

+1

I keep finding myself typing “stop overcomplicating everything” multiple times a day as well.

3500 Calories per pound of fat, so he was running a daily calorie deficit of around 930.
